The Public Education Department has age appropriate classes for grades Pre-K through 5 that build on the children’s knowledge year after year. We also speak to middle school and high school classrooms about “A Day in the Life of a Firefighter”.

The Shelbyville Fire Department offers tours of our stations upon request where we talk about a day in the life of a Shelbyville firefighter and various fire safety topics.
If you are interested in having us come speak to your class or organization or schedule a tour please contact the Public Education Officer Scott Robbins at 317-392-5119 or
